Farabee, Frost to Flames in Trade for Kuzmenko, Pelletier & Picks
The Calgary Flames are trading Andrei Kuzmenko to the Philadelphia Flyers in a complex trade that could include a third team.
Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff is reporting the following trade:
To Flames: Joel Farabee Morgan Frost
To Flyers: Jakob Pelletier Andrei Kuzmenko 2nd Round Pick 7th Round Pick
“That’s three first-round picks and a sizable chunk of money changing hands,” he writes.

Darren Dreger of TSN also said, “Frank is on it. Also, it sounds like there is more involved than just player-for-player between Calgary and Philly. “More involved” is how one source describes it.”
Elliotte Friedman tweeted, “Jakob Pelletier is part of the deal, too.” Pat Steinberg wrote, “Jakob Pelletier will not return to tonight’s game per the team. With a Kuzmenko trade to Philly reportedly in the works, we’ve got lots to keep an eye on.”
Kevin Kurz of The Athletic tweeted, “Don’t see either Briere or Jones in the Flyers’ executive suite here in the press box. Also, Morgan Frost didn’t play the final 8:22 of the second period. Not sure if that’s injury-related or not, but worth noting.”
Dreger added, “Morgan Frost may have tweaked something or was dealing with an illness which contributed to his absence tonight, but is a confirmed part of a trade to Calgary.”
