Flyers and Flames Working on Complex Kuzmenko Trade
The Calgary Flames are trading Andrei Kuzmenko to the Philadelphia Flyers in a complex trade that could include a third team.
Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff is reporting that the Philadelphia Flyers and Calgary Flames are working to finalize a trade that involves Andriei Kuzmenko.
Seravalli posted two updates on social media. The first read, “Sources say #Flyers and #Flames are working on a trade involving forward Andrei Kuzmenko. Deal has not yet been agreed upon, but progressed to point where Kuzmenko has been held out of Calgary lineup.” The second, an update, read, “Still some moving parts to this deal involving player(s) active in games that haven’t ended yet.”
Darren Dreger of TSN also said, “Frank is on it. Also, it sounds like there is more involved than just player-for-player between Calgary and Philly. “More involved” is how one source describes it.”
Elliotte Friedman tweeted, “Jakob Pelletier is part of the deal, too.” Pat Steinberg wrote, “Jakob Pelletier will not return to tonight’s game per the team. With a Kuzmenko trade to Philly reportedly in the works, we’ve got lots to keep an eye on.”
