Brady Tkachuk’s Seattle Geography Mistake Gets Fans Laughing

Brady Tkachuk inadvertently sparked a lot of jokes after referring to Seattle as a Canadian city. Fans were quick to point out that Seattle is actually in Washington State and had plenty of fun with the mistake online. It was likely nothing serious, but don’t be surprised if Seattle fans give him a hard time when he returns.

Could the Ekholm Trade Eventually Come Back to Bite the Oilers?

The Oilers clearly got what they needed when they traded for Mattias Ekholm, and he played a big role in their deep playoff runs. Still, the prospect they gave up, Reid Schaefer, is starting to look like someone who could become a very good NHL power forward for Nashville.

That doesn’t mean Edmonton made a bad trade. At the time, the team was chasing a Stanley Cup and needed Ekholm right away. But if Schaefer breaks out while Ekholm’s role starts to decline, Oilers fans may eventually wonder what might have happened if they had kept their young prospect.

Ron MacLean Is Coming Back, and Fans Have Mixed Feelings

Sportsnet is bringing Ron MacLean back to Hockey Night in Canada, but a lot of viewers aren’t exactly celebrating. The decision comes after Kelly Hrudey was let go, and some fans feel MacLean’s storytelling-heavy style has gotten pretty stale.

There are also questions about whether Elliotte Friedman and Kevin Bieksa will officially return. Many viewers say they would rather see Sportsnet prioritize those two, while others still like the familiar MacLean, Bieksa and Friedman lineup. Either way, the changes have fans talking as another piece of the old CBC-era Hockey Night in Canada continues to disappear.
