Can the Rock continue his incredible pace of blockbuster films that is making him the most notable actor in Hollywood? When you consider he’s climbing the charts as quickly as he is and hasn’t been part of the Marvel or Star Wars franchises, it’s amazing how well his movies are doing at the box office.
This may be his first stumble since Baywatch. The film looks like Diehard, is meant to be an emotional uplifting fight for the disabled (his character lost a leg in the war) and the movie is getting more press for because of spoof posters mocking his hilarious and unrealistic jump from a crane to an open building window.
Still, it’s The Rock and the movie will have to be huge right?
He plays FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Sawyer, who after an accident now assesses security for skyscrapers. He’s framed for the tallest building in Hong Kong is under siege and he has to clear his name while rescuing his family.
