Can’t Miss Flicks: 5 New Must-See Movie Trailers

If you had to pick five movies to see this season, we think we may have narrowed it down for you.

Hotel Artemis

Release date: June 8

Los Angeles, 2028. Riots in the streets and a city in flames. A masked and suited Sterling K. Brown (TV’s This Is Us) leads an armed bank heist that ends with his brother (Brian Tyree Henry) full of bullet holes. Brown’s character Waikiki and company make a speedy getaway to the Hotel Artemis, a “secret hospital for criminals” with an emergency room on the penthouse floor that’s been in operation for 22 years.

A hardened Jodie Foster is Jean Thomas, AKA The Nurse, who vets the IDs of society’s underbelly before they’re admitted, and runs a tight ship that holds all patients to the same set of Membership Rules, including No Fighting With or Killing Other Patients, and No Guns or Weapons Permitted. Also: Dave Bautista is an orderly (“I’m a Health Care Professional”) and enforcer of No Disrespectful Words or Actions Against Staff. If you weren’t already a patient, give him lip and he’ll MAKE you one!

During the bank robbery, we see Waikiki lift an elegant pen from a man’s suit pocket, that is revealed to be a miniature vault belonging to The Wolf King (Jeff Goldblum), carrying yellow diamonds “worth eighteen million”, says the beautiful assassin Nice (Sofia Boutella). Waikiki might have hit black market paydirt, but having the diamonds in his possession puts a price on his own head, and security at Hotel Artemis is compromised. See Hotel Artemis if you like a movie with no clear-cut good guys.
