WWE Still Wants Rey Mysterio

Even though a deal hasn’t been struck between the two sides, rumors are that WWE and Rey Mysterio are continuing to talk and trying to work out the optics of a return for the masked luchador and the 6-1-9 to WWE on a more regular basis.

The number of dates has been the holdup as Rey is active all over the world working shows for a number of promotions. Dave Meltzer noted on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Live that no deal was made as of a week ago but there is hope that come September, they two sides will have figured it out. WWE fans are actively waiting for him to return to WWE where they have seen him twice at two Royal Rumbles.

Mysterio remains one of the most popular WWE Superstars in history and is arguably in the best shape of his wrestling career. This would be the time to make another WWE run if that is in the cards.
