Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to Miss More Time

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will miss more time than originally expected for the Edmonton Oilers.

It appears that the two games-or-so that Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was set to miss with a hand injury was a low estimate. Head coach of the Edmonton Oilers Dave Tippett has revealed that Nugent-Hopkins had a procedure on his hand and won’t be available for this coming weekend’s back-to-back games.

Tippett did say the centerman would be set to return to the lineup next week.

Nugent-Hopkins will be missed as the No. 2 center on the Oilers who have relied too heavily on Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl to provide the offense. For Oilers fans, hopefully Nuge isn’t out more than a couple of games and they can keep the positive results of the season going.

Nugent-Hopkins has 16 points in 25 games so far this season.
