Impact Wrestling Joins the Jericho Cruise

Impact Wrestling and Chris Jericho have come together in a partnership that will see Impact stars on the Jericho cruise in October of 2018.

Chris Jericho took to Instagram on Tuesday to make a major announcement in regard to his cruise happening in October of this year. In a meeting that likely stemmed from a Sami Callihan promo that questioned Jericho for not including him on his cruise, Jericho got the hint that Impact Wrestling wanted to be involved (realistically, there may have been talks prior). The two sides conducted a meeting and immediately following that meeting, Jericho posted that Impact was officially now “on board”

You can see the post below.

Whether this means just Callihan or a number of talents will be involved is uncertain but this now makes it Jericho, Ring of Honor, NJPW, Impact Wrestling and almost no current WWE talent as part of the cruise.

The names involved are starting to get more extensive. The cruise will be hosted by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler and scheduled to appear:

  • Beer City Bruiser, Ring of Honor
  • The Briscoes (Mark & Jay Briscoe), ROH World Tag Team Champions
  • Dalton Castle, ROH World Champion
  • Cheeseburger, Ring of Honor
  • Will Ferrera, Ring of Honor
  • Delirious, Ring of Honor
  • Kenny King, Ring of Honor
  • Kelly Klein, Ring of Honor/Women of Honor
  • Mandy Leon, Ring of Honor/Women of Honor
  • Jay Lethal, Ring of Honor
  • Kenny Omega, NJPW
  • Adam “Hangman” Page, Ring of Honor/NJPW
  • Brandi Rhodes, Ring of Honor/Women of Honor
  • Cody Rhodes, Ring of Honor/NJPW
  • “The Villain” Marty Scurll, Ring of Honor/NJPW
  • Matt Taven, Ring of Honor
  • Rhett Titus, Ring of Honor
  • BJ Whitmer, Ring of Honor
  • Silas Young, ROH World Television Champion
  • The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), Ring of Honor/NJPW

  • Brian Cage
  • James Ellsworth
  • Mick Foley
  • Noelle Foley
  • Rey Mysterio Jr.
  • Diamond Dallas Page
  • Pat Patterson
  • Raven
  • Melissa Santos
  • SoCal Val
  • Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat

While some of these names are loosely connected to the WWE, it’s starting to speak loudly that WWE is not involved. Speculation is that Jericho wanted NXT talent, but the invitation was declined. Now, with the success of indie wrestling and shows like All In, it’s working out wonderfully for Jericho and company. WWE may be wishing they had made another choice by choosing to sit this one out.

This certainly also adds fuel to the rumors that Jericho and Impact Wrestling might be talking about a possible Jericho match in the Impact Zone sooner than later.
