Fans React to Carter Hart’s First Words as a Golden Knight

Carter Hart speaks out after joining the Vegas Golden Knights on a tryout. He has an ironic message for quite vocal fans.

The Vegas Golden Knights have signed Carter Hart to a professional tryout that will eventually be converted to an NHL contract.

Hart spoke with the media in Vegas on Thursday, addressing the media for the first time since it was learned that the team had signed him to a professional tryout. “I’ve learned a lot. I’ve grown a lot. I’m ready to move on. I’m excited to get out in the community and show my true character.” He added, “I’m looking forward to moving ahead here, getting back to playing the game of hockey that I love and showing the community here what I’m about and my true character and who I am.”

Mark Stone was asked about the signing and how the team felt about the news. He responded, “Exciting, good goalie, excited to welcome him to the culture of the Golden Knights.” He added that everyone on the team was asked about it, and they were all happy to welcome him into the family.

Hart said in his statement that he has nothing but great things about the city, community, and the fanbase. While some of those fans have been quite vocal and critical of Hart and the Golden Knights organization, Hart said he’s excited to play in front of them and for them. Everybody’s been very welcoming. I’m just looking forward to getting things rolling here, getting to work alongside all these guys, getting to know them all, and continuing to work on the championship culture that’s been established here in Las Vegas.
