After his trial ended on Wednesday, CM Punk was relieved. He can now focus his entire attention on his upcoming UFC 225 bout with Mike Jackson. After that, regardless of what the outcome is, fans will be calling for a return to professional wrestling, with some speculating that Punk will return at All In in Chicago on September 1. Punk has already stated that he isn’t All In and on Thursday reconfirmed that he has not been contacted nor made a deal to appear for any wrestling promotion. Not WWE, not ROH, not All In and not New Japan. In fact, right now, wrestling is not really something he’s thinking about.
He spoke with Aaron Bronsteter of TSN Sports and said he’d wish people would just leave it alone for now. He explained:
“Yesterday I said a bunch of stuff about wrestling, about how I’d never gotten a true offer… that does not mean I want to wrestle. I’m done, I’m done, I’m done with professional wrestling. A lot of people like to be mad at me about that and make fun of me because I lost my first fight, and it’s like… that’s fine, you’re entitled to your opinion but you do not own me and I am entitled to do what I want to do, and that’s what I’m doing. Wrestling is in the rear view mirror. I’ve been trying for 5 years to put wrestling in the rear view mirror and some people just won’t, they won’t let it go. They want to live my life for me. I kind of don’t understand that. It doesn’t matter what I say, I’ve said no and no, no, no, so many times that people just always kind of are like, ‘Oh, so there’s a chance?’
So, as Punk says, it’s not happening. But that doesn’t mean he’s completely ruled it out because he hasn’t gotten an offer and when his life in MMA is over, who knows.

What seems most unlikely, is should Punk change his mind, a return to WWE would not be in the cards. He still speaks ill of the company and is not happy that their currently employed medical physician was the one who dragged him through a very stressful few days in court. The trial likely shouldn’t have gotten as far as it did and Punk is not likely to forgive and forget Amann anytime soon, nor the company he works for.
He also recently added his two cents to the whole Donald Trump and White House thing by saying he’s not going to the White House if invited. “A racist is a racist. I’m not hanging out with you,” he said.
