Zach Hyman Hits Head, Leaves Game Between Oilers and Red Wings
Zach Hyman suffered an injury for the Edmonton Oilers in the second period of the game against the Red Wings. It appears concussion related.
The Edmonton Oilers can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to injuries. Zach Hyman had to be helped off the ice after being hit into the boards by Andreas Englund on Monday night. The game against the Detroit Red Wings turned after the injury, and going into the third period, it was 1-1.
At the time of this article, the Oilers had not released a statement on whether Hyman would return to the game. Hyman went down awkwardly, which raised concerns among the team and the fans in attendance.
It appeared he hit the back of his head on the glass, which would have put him out of the game for at least 15 minutes while in concussion protocol.
