If you’re a hopeful wrestler or athlete who believes you have what it takes to become the next WWE Superstar, the process to getting your foot in the door of the largest professional wrestling company in the world just got a little easier. WWE has officially launched the new WWE Performance Center website at WWEPerformanceCenter.com and they have streamlined the pathway to getting noticed by those who can make or break your wrestling career.
As Triple H explained during an interview with Sports Illustrated, “The hardest part about this business is there is no pathway. We’re creating a pathway. Vince and I spoke about it, and he said, ‘Let’s go do it.’ We are going around the world to look for international stars.” In short, WWE is still going to go out and recruit stars, but they want to make it easier for potential stars to come to them.
The site includes videos and photos of the Performance Center and stars that came through that system, it outlines what WWE looks for in a recruit, explains the tryout process and offers the ability to apply online.
More than eighty percent of the current WWE is a graduate of their feeder and development system. This new site virtually guarantees that most, if not all of the future stars of WWE go through the same process. This is especially true since WWE no longer has a large competitor like WCW from which to grab or sign away talent.
Basically, if you’re looking to become a WWE Superstar, this is now where your journey begins. Triple H added, “If you want a career in the WWE, here is how to go about it. There is advice on what to expect at tryouts and testimonials from people who have careers in WWE. It’s all about creating the pathway, and this will really open the faucet and allow talent to flood in from a global level.”
