Rounding out the top 10 picks from the 2020 NHL Draft.

We now know the top 5 selections in 2020 in a little more detail. With an excellent group of remaining eligible players available, find some further information on selections 6 through 10:

Anaheim Ducks #6

With the 6th overall selection, the Anaheim Ducks take Jamie Drysdale of the Erie Otters. Described as a brilliant skater, with mature poise, skill and intelligence describe Drysdale’s game. At 5’11, 170 pounds Drysdale is not massive, but his size is more than good enough. The Torontonian’s style of play fits the new-age roving, offensive player that jumps into the rush from the back end.

New Jersey Devils #7

At seventh overall, the New Jersey Devils select Sweden’s Alexander Holtz. The elite skating sharpshooter has been labelled as one of the purest goal scorers available in this draft. During 36 games with Djurgårdens in the SweHL, the 18-year-old Holtz had nine goals and seven assists. Holtz could likely be a top 10 selection in October.

With not a lot separating the two right-handed Swedish wingers, Lucas Raymond and Holtz, it will be exciting to watch their careers unfold.

Buffalo Sabres #8

The Sabres take Ottawa 67 Jack Quinn with the 8th overall selection. Jack Quinn is one of two Ottawa 67 players that will factor into the 1st round. With teammate Marco Rossi as the set-up man, Quinn put away 52 goals in 62 games this season. The 2001 born right winger finished the 2020 season with 89 points along with a +48 plus/minus rating.

Minnesota Wild #9

Newly appointed GM Bill Guerin makes Marco Rossi his first selection with the 8th overall pick. The late 2001 born (September 23rd) Austrian player had an amazing sophomore OHL season for the Ottawa 67’s. In 56 games, Rossi scored 39 goals and added an amazing 81 assists for a smooth 120 points. Folks, those are ridiculous numbers.

Winnipeg Jets #10

With the 10th overall selection, the Winnipeg Jets decide on Cole Perfetti Perfetti was selected by the Spirit as the 5th overall selection in the OHL priority draft. The Whitby native is a magician and great thinker of the game, capable of big offensive numbers. Perfetti had a huge sophomore season with 111 points (37G, 74A) over 61 OHL games.
