In another NHL Trade Talk Recap (Dec. 28), are the Seattle Kraken and Toronto Maple Leafs involved in trade talks? Meanwhile, the Maple Leafs are gearing up for a big stretch with Mitch Marner stepping up his game. At the same time, Alex Ovechkin’s return to action against Toronto adds extra excitement as he chases Gretzky’s all-time goal-scoring record.
The Colorado Avalanche and Nashville Predators recently exchanged young forwards in a trade that could help both teams with depth and future potential. In Edmonton, Ben Stetler, the beloved Oilers superfan, continues to inspire, while the team is also making progress in their negotiations to re-sign Evan Bouchard.
In Vancouver, Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson missed tonight’s game against the Kraken. Both have injuries, leaving the team in a tough spot. The Ottawa Senators, meanwhile, poise for a win-now move at the trade deadline. However, a goalie shuffle looms after Linus Ullmark suffers a back injury.

In a perfect world for the Oilers they get a healthy Kane back just in time for playoffs and are able to use his salary to add 2 other physical players. 1 being a legit 2 way right had Dman. Someone like Adam Larsson and a fast physical forward like Klim Kostin. With those 3 additions the Oilers get much tougher to play against and really increase their chances of hoisting the cup
