Maple Leafs’ Line Combos & Changes for Tonight’s Game vs. the Flyers

As the Toronto Maple Leafs prepare to play the Philadelphia Flyers, what are the line combinations for the game?

In this edition of Toronto Maple Leafs’ line combinations and player changes, I’ll take a look at the moves the Maple Leafs are making to prepare to play the Philadelphia Flyers tonight on the road. The Maple Leafs will be looking for their fourth victory, while the Flyers were officially eliminated from making the playoffs after losing to the Minnesota Wild last Tuesday.

General Injury Situation

Yesterday, Alex Kerfoot did not dress for practice. However, he was having a maintenance day and is expected to play tonight in Philadelphia. As well, Nick Abruzzese will make his NHL debut tonight.

Finally, goalie Jack Campbell’s ribs are sufficiently healed and he’s expected to start. It’s perfect timing because goalie Petr Mrazek was injured during the Boston Bruins’ game. It looks as if Mrazek might miss the remainder of the regular season.

Newcomer defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin did practice yesterday. His problem was deemed not to be concussion-related. Rather, it was a neck injury brought about when the Boston Bruins’ Taylor Hall sucker-punched him during the Bruins’ game earlier this week. Lyubushkin has had neck problems in the past. If the pairings in practice are any indication Lyubushkin will play tomorrow.

Finally, defenseman Jake Muzzin – who was out with a concussion – has made the trip. However. there’s no word on when he will play. It won’t be tonight.
