LeBron James Opts Out With Cleveland Cavaliers
LeBron James has decided not to opt-in to his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
LeBron James has reportedly opted out of his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers and will explore unrestricted free agency according to Cleveland.com’s Joe Vardon who first reported the news when it broke on Friday. This means James will be declining an option to make $35.6 million for the 2018-19 season and will instead either renegotiate with the Cavs or look at other teams, many of which are willing to back up the Brinks truck and give him whatever deal he wants and is allowable under the NBA salary cap rules.

The buzz around the NBA is that James has his choices narrowed down to the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, and Philadelphia 76ers. The Lakers are believed to be the frontrunners, especially if the team is successful in their bid to land Kawhi Leonard.
Let the madness that is James’ free agent decision begin. The NBA will wait on whatever decision it is that James makes and the dominos will fall immediately after.
