Johansson was drafted by the Capitals in 2009 and played there from 2011-to-2017 (501 games). An average player in many other situations, Johansson has been great on the powerplay this season. He will likely slide into a third-line role with the Capitals upon his return. He will likely play fewer minutes than the 16:35 he was averaging with Seattle.
Johansson has bounced around the NHL the past few seasons, spending time with New Jersey Devils, Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres and Kraken. He has 23 points in 51 games played this season.
