James Neal Out of Edmonton Oilers Lineup Last Minute
James Neal will not be in the lineup tonight versus the St. Louis Blues as he was surprising not out for the warm-up skate.
There are reports coming out of the Edmonton Oilers warmup prior to their game against the St. Louis Blues tonight that James Neal has been pulled from the game.
Interesting of note, there was a moment in the second period of the game on Wednesday where Neal was in visible pain, but there were no reports he’d been injured or would miss tonight’s contest. One would assume that news would have been revealed when the Oilers announced Joakim Nygard and Kris Rusell would be out of action.
It’s likely safe to assume this is not trade related and that Neal must have aggravated something just prior to the game.
