Blackhawks Willing to “Listen on a Variety Of Players” in Trade Talks
There are a number of names that the Chicago Blackhawks are willing to listen on when it comes to trade talks.
When asked what he might be hearing when it comes to news about the Chicago Blackhawks and possible trade discussions with other teams, David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period spoke on the NHL Network about a “variety of different players” the Blackhawks would be willing to listen on when it comes to trade talks between now and the deadline.

“Dylan Strome is a guy that is certainly still available” and Pagnotta says he was shopped prior to the changes that were made in management and coaching. The Blackhawks are still taking calls on Strome and having discussions with other teams who might have interest in the talented, but often inconsistent forward.
In addition to Strome, Pagnotta brings up Calvin De Haan’s name because the defenseman is in the final year of his current deal with the club. Pagnotta says he’ll be attractive for teams that are looking to stabilize their back end. He is a pending UFA.
There’s still talk about Marc-Andre Fleury, who has most, if not all the control over where he goes and what he wants to do when it comes to his playing future. If the Blackhawks are not contenders and Fleury would like one more shot at a Stanley Cup, the Blackhawks will look to move him. Considering he chose to join them instead of retiring and he’s one of the reasons they are playing better of late, they essentially owe him that much if they don’t quite make the playoff cut line.
This, of course, doesn’t even being to open up the discussion about what the Blackhawks would do if they decide as an organization that a full rebranding or total overhaul of the culture of the hockey club is in order. If that happens, there are a lot more names that could become available over the next few months and the offseason.
