Kyle Odland

A freelance sports writer from Edmonton who blends lifelong fandom with a sharp analytical edge. Raised on Oilers hockey since the age of three, he brings thoughtful insight, data‑driven perspective, and a genuine love for the game to everything he writes. Known for watching too many sports and routinely annoying his wife by breaking down zone entries over dinner, he channels that passion into clear, engaging commentary on the Oilers and the wider NHL. Whether it’s dissecting trends, challenging narratives, or offering level‑headed analysis, he aims to give readers a smarter, more nuanced look at the sport he’s passionate about.
