Taylor Hall Trade Being Worked On to Hurricanes (3-Team Deal)

Reports are surfacing that Taylor Hall has been traded to the Carolina Hurricanes in a three-team trade.

According to a few reports, it appears Taylor Hall may be headed to the Carolina Hurricanes in trade. Hall was pulled from the Chicago Blackhawks’ lineup prior to their game tonight, and Pierre LeBrun reports, “Still being worked on, but sounds like a three-team deal involving Taylor Hall is being worked on. Believe Carolina is involved. Stay tuned.”

It is assumed the third team is involved in the deal to retain some of Hall’s $6 million salary.

The deal is not yet official, but it makes sense as the Hurricanes were looking for additional scoring and it was believed Hall’s time with the Blackhawks was coming to an end.

Chicago Blackhawks beat reporter Ben Pope quoted Hall from his media avail a while back:

“Taylor Hall believes he will likely be traded. He would be open to signing an extension but has “a feeling that’s not really in the cards.” “I came into this year wanting to be a Blackhawk for years to come. I don’t know if that’s going to be the case anymore.”

What is going back in the deal has not been confirmed or released. Speculation was that it wasn’t going to take much more than a pick to get Hall out of Chicago.
