Oilers Get Positive Injury Update on Goaltender Connor Ingram

Get the latest Ingram injury update: Connor Ingram is healthy and will back up tonight’s game for the Oilers against the Stars.

According to Edmonton Oilers’ media host Paige Martin, here are some key notes for tonight’s matchup between the Oilers and the Dallas Stars. The biggest of which is that goaltender Connor Ingram appears to be fine after a collision during the previous game, and there are no concerns that he might miss time.

Head coach Kris Knoblauch confirmed that Tristan Jarry will start. The good news is that Connor Ingram is well and will be the backup tonight. Ingram was taken out of the game against the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday after being run over by Nathan MacKinnon, who was given a major penalty and a game misconduct for goalie interference.

Ingram was not allowed to return to the game for concussion reasons, but the feeling was he was going to be OK. That he’s not missing any time is great news for the Oilers. Ingram has played well of late and arguably earned the right to be called the starter. Jarry was solid in relief, which could be one of the reasons he’s getting the start again on Thursday night.

Ingram told the media ahead of the game against Dallas that he is good. He is healthy. He can play, but, likely out of caution, he won’t be starting tonight.

In other injury news, Ty Emberson and Colton Dach have returned to Edmonton for further evaluation – Adam Henrique and Spencer Stastney will be back in the lineup.

Edmonton comes into this game banged up, but with two wins against solid opponents. If they can beat the Stars, it would make fro Edmonton’s second three-game streak this season.
