Oilers Forward Hopes to Return to Lineup During Upcoming Road Trip
Jason Dickinson spoke to Edmonton media on Monday and offered an update on his injury and possible return to the Oilers.
Jason Dickinson skated with the Edmonton Oilers on Monday, then spoke to the media afterward to update fans on his injury. Dickinson was on the ice and fully participated in practice. He said he hopes to be ready to go at some point during the upcoming road swing through California.
The Oilers don’t play until Wednesday, which should give him more time to rest and rehab an injury that he says was never really quite 100 percent over the summer.
Dickinson said he was doing jumps during the summer to test an injury he suffered at the end of last season. “As I made a few jumps, there was one where I never made another jump. So I spent a month trying to figure out what wasn’t working, what was compensating, and why I wasn’t getting the reactions I needed out of my ankle. We spent a good month here figuring that out.”
It sounds like he’s finally got it sorted and he’ll look to join the Oilers, who currently sit second in the NHL standings and are making due without a good chunk of their top-six forward group available.

The Oilers Lines At Practice:
Edmonton put together the following lines on Monday:
Vasily Podkolzin-Connor McDavid-Leon Draisaitl
Trent Frederic-Jason Dickinson-Kasperi Kapanen
Max Jones/MathieuJoseph-Owen Michaels-Alex Formenton
Ike Howard-Colton Dach-Josh Samanski
Mattias Ekholm-Evan Bouchard
Ryan Shea-Connor Murphy
Jake Walman-Ty Emberson
Spencer Stastney-Shakir Mukhamadullin
