Maple Leafs Stolarz Injured and Leaves Capitals Game: No Update
Stolarz leaves with injury as Leafs fall behind early. Another setback in a tough season—and a potential ripple effect on offseason plans.
This has been a rough night for the Toronto Maple Leafs in a number of ways. Early in the second period, the Maple Leafs are behind by a score of 3-0. However, the worst news is that goalie Anthony Stolarz left early after stretching to make a save on Cole Hutson’s shot. No news on the Stolarz injury yet.
He immediately collapsed, pulled off his mask and needed a trainer’s help to limp off. There’s no word yet on the severity of the injury, but it’s another injury concern for a goalie who’s had a bumpy time in Toronto.
Stolarz Isn’t Having a Great Overall Season
Stolarz is 10-10-3 with a .892 save percentage and a 3.29 GAA this season after already missing big chunks with an upper-body issue in the fall. It has been a difficult season for him.

Woll Replaced Stolarz
Joseph Woll came in to finish the game. He’s been the more consistent option this season at 15-14-7, .902 and a 3.32 GAA. With the Maple Leafs out of the playoff picture for the first time since 2016, every one of these goalie moments matters for next season’s planning.
Keep an eye on updates — this could affect the club’s offseason goals for crease stability.
