In this quick report, Elliotte Friedman tweeted earlier today that the 23-year-old Toronto Maple Leafs’ rookie goalie Joseph Woll has an undisclosed injury and won’t be unavailable to back up starting goalie Jack Campbell tonight during the game against the Colorado Avalanche. There was no certainty about what the injury might be, except that he was “banged up.”

Michael Hutchinson Comes from the AHL to Take Woll’s Place
As a result, the Maple Leafs have quickly brought up veteran Michael Hutchinson from the AHL’s Toronto Marlies. Campbell is expected to start tonight against the Avalanche; so, if all goes well, it won’t make much of a difference. However, should something happen with Campbell, Maple Leafs’ fans will see Hutchinson in the net instead of Woll.
The report was that Woll didn’t participate in the optional morning skate. He also didn’t practice on Tuesday. We don’t know more than that right now.
