Marner was going to a movie with a friend when multiple men approached his vehicle wearing masks and demanding they give over the Ranger Rover. Three suspects were involved, Toronto Police reported, with two of them armed with handguns and another with a knife.

Marner didn’t put up any sort of fight and turned the vehicle over. Apparently, the suspects did not know who they were jacking the vehicle from.

We’ll have more on this story as it becomes available. This has not been a good week for Marner. His Leafs were eliminated from the playoffs in Game 7 of a first-round series with the Tampa Bay Lightning. It is expected the members of the Maple Leafs organization will speak with media on Tuesday. It’s unknown if the team will address the robbery or if Marner will be made available.
