On Saturday, the Vegas Golden Knights and GM Kelly McCrimmon announced a two-year contract extension for team captain Mark Stone through 2028-29, worth $9 million annually.
Stone, 34, remains Vegas’s all-time leader in points, power-play production, and takeaways since arriving from Ottawa in 2019. He tied his career high with 73 points last season and has long been a Selke Trophy finalist for his two-way play.
In the playoffs, Stone holds franchise records for goals and points, highlighted by his historic hat trick in the 2023 Stanley Cup-clinching win. Internationally, he’s represented Canada at the Olympics, the 4 Nations Face-Off, and multiple World Championships.
