Daniel Bryan Healthy and Expected To Wrestle Full-Time Schedule
Since announcing his return to WWE and being medically cleared to compete, Daniel Bryan and the WWE haven’t been shy about getting him to mix it up. There was speculation that the company might take it easy on Bryan knowing that he’d spent three years on the shelf with concussion issues and it looked like he might never be able to wrestle again. Not only is WWE not laying back, a report now suggests Bryan may actually move towards working a full-time schedule, including live events, television and pay-per-views.
A closer look at WWE’s schedule shows that Bryan is listed for all of the upcoming SmackDown Live events, including the U.K. tour which kicks off next week. His matches will be mostly against The Miz, eventual setting the two up for a larger program on television and an eventual match at a pay-per-view where Bryan is expected to get revenge for The Miz trash-talking him while he was acting SmackDown Live general manager. Before then, Bryan is scheduled to face Big Cass at WWE Backlash this Sunday.

WWE was hesitant to clear Bryan but the fact that he’s now moving towards a full-time schedule shows that the company is satisfied with the results of his medical testing. He was rumored to be undergoing physicals after every match in the hopes his health wouldn’t regress but this past Friday, he was part of the Greatest Royal Rumble event, lasting over an hour in the ring and breaking the Royal Rumble record. Clearly, he’s just fine.
This is a great sign for fans who have been waiting for Bryan to return and knowing he is more than healthy means a variety of dream matches that might become reality over the next few months. The Miz is up next but WWE teased a program between Shinsuke Nakamura and there is always a rematch between Bryan and AJ Styles that needs to be addressed.
