Bedard and ‘The Fan’ Talk Their Altercation During Blackhawks OT Win
Connor Bedard and the fan both comment on their altercation during a Blackhawks overtime win against the Utah Mammoth.
Connor Bedard was getting involved with a fan at the Utah Mammoth vs. Chicago Blackhawks game, to the point that when Bedard scored the overtime winner, he made a conscious effort to skate over to the fan and rub it in his face.
The fan caught Bedard’s attention long before the game-winning goal. There was a point in the game where the Blackhawks’ superstar stared down the Mammoth fan in the crowd after the Blackhawks scored. He was sitting right by the glass, relentlessly chirping at Bedard all night, pointing at him and yelling that “Logan Cooley was his daddy”.
Bedard gave the guy a stone-cold death stare after setting up a goal, but then Bedard got the last laugh by scoring the overtime winner. In post-game comments (via The Athletic), Bedard admitted the chirp was actually pretty funny in hindsight, especially since his team won. The fan even owned it. “I kinda deserved it,” McClain Lindquist said.
“It just gets you going a bit,” he said. “I don’t know. It’s fun playing on the road. Especially when you win. It (gets) pretty quiet.”

“It was awesome,” Lindquist said. “Good for him. I thought it was great.”
“I thought it was funny,” Bedard said afterward. “He’ll probably tell his kids about it.”
