3 Oilers Land in Top 10 of TSN’s Player Rankings for 2025-26
Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl weren’t the only Oilers to land in TSN’s top 10 players of 2025–26.
The Edmonton Oilers had a rather bumpy 2025–26 campaign, but in the end, they finished the regular season right where they wanted to, and a lot of that is thanks to their three superstars.
Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Evan Bouchard were all phenomenal, elevating their games to levels we haven’t even seen from them at times, carrying the Oilers through the good and the bad.
We all know how good and highly regarded McDavid and Draisaitl are around the hockey world, as they should be, but it was Bouchard who took another leap this year and has started to receive the recognition he deserves for it.
With the regular season officially complete, TSN put together a list ranking the top 25 players from the season. To no surprise, McDavid was first, Draisaitl was eighth—he likely would have been higher if not for missed time due to injury—and Bouchard rounded out the top 10.

The potential Norris Trophy candidate was the third-highest-rated defenseman on the list, behind only Zach Werenski (7th) and Cale Makar (9th). He finished with a career-high 95 points (21 goals, 74 assists) in 82 games, producing the 11th-most points in the league and by far the most among anyone at the position.
Only the Montreal Canadiens (Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Lane Hutson) and Colorado Avalanche (Nathan MacKinnon, Makar, Martin Necas) also had three players make the list—pretty good company to be in.
That all goes out the window now heading into the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but what this does show is that as long as Edmonton’s big three is healthy and available, they will be extremely difficult for anyone to knock off in a seven-game series.
