In his first game returning from a three-game suspension, Connor McDavid scored to help his Edmonton Oilers beat the Seattle Kraken.

Finally, congratulations are for first-season Washington Capitals goalie Logan Thompson. He’s leveraged his solid start in the US capital into a six-year, $35.1 million contract. He’s been a difference-maker for the Capitals, who’ve surprised most fans with their excellent start to the season.

Garland’s Two Goals Lead Canucks to 5-2 Win Over Blues

For the Canucks, Quinn Hughes has nine points (five goals, four assists) in his current six-game point streak. Brock Boeser has put up six points (one goal and five assists) in his current five-game point streak.

McDavid’s Return Leads Oilers to 4-2 Win Over Kraken

Connor McDavid didn’t disappoint fans when he scored a goal returning from a three-game suspension. As a result, his Oilers beat the Kraken 4-2. Mattias Ekholm (with a goal and an assist) and Corey Perry (with a goal) also contributed to the Oilers’ third straight win. The Kraken had their chances but couldn’t convert with the man advantage.

What a special night for University of Alberta goaltender Tyler Palmer. With Stuart Skinner out of the lineup because of the birth of his child, Palmer signed an amateur tryout contract on an emergency basis earlier Monday. He was Pickard’s backup in Skinner’s absence.
