Blake Coleman Bio
Blake Coleman is a two-way depth forward who can play primarily in the bottom-six at this point in his career, but can also move up the lineup if needed. He has been a winner wherever he played, winning championships in college, at World Championships, and finally completing his trophy case by winning back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and 2021.
After the second championship, Coleman signed with the Calgary Flames, marking his third team after beginning his career with the New Jersey Devils.
Draft Year
The Devils selected Coleman 75th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. The selection came after he was the USA Hockey Junior Player of the Year and the USHL MVP. He went on to play four years at Miami University before signing with the Devils.
Key Info
The greatest moments of Coleman’s career were during the two cup runs, when he elevated his game and became a key contributor for the Lightning with 24 points in 48 games. He averaged over 0.5 points per game just once during the regular season in his career (54 points in 78 games with the Flames in 2023-24), proving that when the playoffs come, Coleman is a valuable piece.
