An updated report out of Dallas is not good news, as Seguin is out long-term. He got tangled up with Vladislav Gavirkov of the New York Rangers and his leg bent awkwardly underneath him. It was clear the injury was serious, but to lose Seguin for the entire season is a real blow. The forward had scored 17 points in 27 games this season.

Glen Gulutzan explained to the media: “He’s got an ACL and he’ll be out. We didn’t get great news today. Haven’t spoken to Tyler yet but probably just letting everybody know he’s going to be out for a significant amount of time, probably the rest of the season.”
Seguin has battled injuries constantly throughout his career.
There is no official word yet if GM Jim Nill will be looking for a veteran scoring forward. One has to expect the Stars will try to acquire a player, placing Seguin’s $9.85 million salary on LTIR.
