Quinn Hughes, Who?: Zeev Buium Already Producing for the Canucks

In the first seven minutes of his debut with the Vancouver Canucks, defenseman Zeev Buium has two points. Quinn Hughes who?

It hasn’t taken long for defenseman Zeeve Buium to show Vancouver Canucks fans what he’s all about. With a goal and an assist in his first game with Vancouver, Buium is on the board, giving fans in Vancouver reason to believe the sky might not be falling with Quinn Hughes going out the door and to the Minnesota Wild.

Less than 90 seconds into the game, Buium got his first point. “First Canucks game. First Canucks goal. Welcome to Vancouver, Zeev Buium!” the Canucks tweeted after he put a centering pass off a New Jersey Devils player into the Devils’ net. He later got a second assist on a Jake DeBrusk goal.

Seven minutes into his Canucks debut, he had a goal and an assist, along with a hit. Both points came on a Canucks power play, which is where Buium excels. He’s going to be their quarterback for the foreseeable future, so the fact he’s off to a hot start is a solid sign.
