Quinn Hughes Return the First Of Good News for Canucks?

Quinn Hughes is back from injury with the Vancouver Canucks. Are more players coming back in the next few days?

The Vancouver Canucks will welcome back Quinn Hughes to the lineup tonight against the Nashville Predators. Hughes confirmed his return with media on Monday, saying, “I feel good. I’m excited to play.”

There was talk that Hughes was close. He traveled with the team and returned to practice. It wasn’t clear if that meant he was joining the team for their game tonight. That is, until Hughes said he was going. “Obviously, it’s the worst missing games, and I felt really good coming into the season, too, so it is what it is.”

Hughes has one goal and seven points in nine games, and the Canucks went 1-3 in his absence, including a 5-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. They’ll be thrilled to have him back.

There Might Be More Good News Coming For the Canucks

Vancouver’s injury list remains extensive, with Conor Garland, Victor Mancini, Derek Forbort, Teddy Blueger, Jonathan Lekkerimaki, Filip Chytil, and Nils Höglander all sidelined. That said, some of these names might be back sooner rather than later.

Coach Adam Foote offered updates on the recovery timeline, noting, “Garly’s close. Blueger’s the next one probably back.” Foote added, “Guys have been hanging on… getting better through the process.”

The Canucks sit at 6-7-0 through 13 games, with Garland leading in scoring (11 points), followed by Kiefer Sherwood with nine goals and Elias Pettersson with eight points.

Hughes’ return adds a much-needed boost to Vancouver’s attack as the team looks to stay afloat and regain momentum while managing one of the most injury-plagued starts in recent memory.
