Vilardi’s Four-Points Leads Jets to 5-2 Win Over Flames

Gabriel Vilardi had a big night for the Winnipeg Jets, with two goals and two assists to lead his team to a 5-2 win over the Calgary Flames. The Jets’ power play worked perfectly, a perfect two for two on the night. The Flames, who had been on a hot streak, just missed too many chances, made key mistakes in the game, and had power-play struggles.

The Jets finally put up some points for backup goalie Eric Comrie. It was his first win in nine starts. He had a 0-7-1 record before Sunday, and the Jets had only scored 12 goals in his eight previous starts.

The Senators also beat the Maple Leafs on Saturday night. During the season, the Finnish goalie has put up a record of 7-3-1, with a 2.19 GAA and a save percentage of .921.

Offensively for the Senators, Claude Giroux scored the game-winner and his first goal in 14 games. Brady Tkachuk scored his 181st career goal, which passed Dany Heatley for fifth on the Senators’ all-time list.
