Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Chris Tanev suffers an upper-body injury after a collision. Find out the latest on his status.

Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Chris Tanev left Tuesday night’s game after a scary-looking collision early in the second period. The team later announced that Tanev would not return due to an upper-body injury.

The play occurred when Tanev drove toward the net in traffic and appeared to take an inadvertent hit to the head from an opposing player’s helmet. He immediately went down and slowly made his way off the ice before heading straight to the locker room.
