Breaking: Jets Shutting Down Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck for Knee Procedure
The Winnipeg jets are shutting down Connor Hellebuyck in order for him to undergo a minor Arthroscopic knee procedure.
According to TSN’s Darren Dreger: Breaking: The @NHLJets are shutting down Connor Hellebuyck in order for him to undergo a minor Arthroscopic knee procedure. It is anticipated that Hellebuyck will be out 4 to 6 weeks.”
This is not ideal news for the Jets as Hellebuyck is arguably their most important player and a perennial Vezina Trophy candidate. In 14 games this season, Hellebuyck has picked up eight wins, has a 2.51 goals against average, and a .913 save percentage.

Eric Comrie is a capable backup netminder, but where will the Jets sit after 20+ games without their superstar in goal? They are currently third in the Central Division with 24 points. The Jets have a 12-7 record after being the Presidents Trophy winners last year.
