Oilers Get Roslovic Boost to Lineup Ahead of Game vs. Golden Knights
Jack Roslovic returns to the Oilers roster after recovery, set to play against the Golden Knights on Sunday night.
The Edmonton Oilers got good news on Sunday morning. Forward Jack Roslovic was activated and will play Sunday night as Edmonton welcomes Carter Hart and the Vegas Golden Knights.
In a subsequent move to fit Roslovic on the roster, Quinn Hutson has been loaned back to Bakersfield. The Oilers also move Connor Clattenburg to LTIR.
After surgery to address the puck injury, he’s healed up and is skating again. It was rumored he could be back in the lineup as early as Tuesday, so his being ready to play Sunday night is a pleasant surprise. As for where he’ll slot in, the assumption is that he’ll be on Edmonton’s second line with Leon Draisaitl and Vasily Podkolzin.
Roslovic has been extremely productive since signing with the Oilers in the middle of the first game of the 2025-26 season. He remains third on the Oilers with 10 goals this season and is fifth with 18 points through 23 games.
The Oilers have tried a few combinations on that second line, but the first line of Connor McDavid, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and Zach Hyman is one the team probably doesn’t want to break up. Given McDavid’s recent hot streak, that seems like a logical decision.

Puck Pedia notes that the Oilers have $612.5K space remaining in LTIR. To activate Roslovic, Hutson and Riley Stillman were the only players eligible to go down since they were called up after Dec 11.
The Oilers are coming off a 5-2 loss to the Minnesota Wild and are looking to rebound on their first home game after a fairly successful road trip. Connor Ingram appears set to start for the Oilers in goal, his first NHL start of the season.
